On the other hand, the Doctors want Dad out being active and doing his thing. So after a good day of rest we went out for his first training session to get ready for Ironman St. George 2013. He's already signed up and there are no refunds so we've got to do it! May 4, 2013 is race day so we've got time to train. Today's training session consisted of a nice walk down the street and back. Enter evidence...
.3 Miles in about 4 Minutes, not a bad pace less than 1 week after Brain Surgery!
Gettin in the groove, setting a nice pace!
Training partners for the day!
And of course after finishing his training session he went to the mailbox and began sorting his mail (P.S. Who's that beautiful pregnant lady in stripped shirt, whoever is married to her must be one lucky dude!)
A little post workout recovery snack in the backyard!
So May 4, 2013 is the day! Ironman St. George, 1.2 Mile Swim, 56 Mile Bike and 13.1 Mile run. It's going to be epic. Dad, Me, Jeff and Greg (who while sitting in the hospital thought it would a great idea to sign up) will be racing for Dad and racing for Brain Cancer awareness!
Go Team IronDean!!!
